Our raw Alfalfa honey comes from the Antelope Valley and Inland Empire Valley where there are many alfalfa hay farms. This honey is very similar to our Buckwheat honey with just a bit more caramel flavors. The Alfalfa honey often surprises people with how good it is! The Alfalfa honey has perhaps a bit more strength in flavor than the Buckwheat honey. It will hold up well to heat in cooking so it lends itself well to using as a substitute for brown sugar in your recipes. Alfalfa honey can also be used as a syrup substitute and a brown sugar substitute for your oatmeal.
